Fast or Faster

Get to SihanoukVille's Islands and back.

The Fast Ferry Boats are the 2nd fastest public transportation to and from SihanoukVille's Islands. You can get a helicoptor to the islands however, for just a 5 minute ride. Speedboats are generally about 35 - 50 minutes each way (although they advertise 20 to 30 minutes). A few slow boats take about 2 hours.

Saracen Bay and M'Pay Bay are on Koh Rong Samloem Island

On Koh Rong Island, the ferry stops at Koh Rong Village or Koh Toch unless they say otherwise. You'll want to get the right beach, so you don't have to walk or pay more for another boat.
A few boats from SihanoukVille leave from the Serendipity Beach Pier. Most leave from the the road past the port. Usually they have pickup at your hotel.
Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem Islands are 2 similar sized islands, right next to each other, about 17 KM from SihanoukVille, Cambodia.
Make sure you know the difference when booking a ferry!

There are now a few boats that go between these two islands, and can be booked right from the islands.
Most speed boats are $12 each way. They have a $24 charge for an OPEN return ticket. The slow boat is $10 or less each way.

This schedule and prices are subject to change and will. Weather conditions, and demand change during the seasons here in SihanoukVille. The boats will not go out (or return) if it is not safe to do so. You'll want to get off the island a few days before departing Cambodia, just to make sure you can meet your schedule.

Boats leave All Day here for the islands and back, about every hour, from 7am to 5pm. All boats leave from the Island Tourist Port

Koh Ta Kiev Island has boat trips only from the bungalows on the island. Every month or so a different service pops up with trips also.

Koh Thmei Island has boat trips to Koh Thmei Resort on the island.

Morakot Island (aka Snake Island or Koh Pous Island) is closed to the public for now.

Song Saa Private Resort Island has private boat trips only arranged the resort.

Other islands, such as Koh Russey, Koh Tang, Koh Krabey can be reached by private boat or as a stopover on some of the Island Day Tours around town.

OR, you can just take a 5 minute ride by helicoptor from Helistar Cambodia to most islands from SihanoukVille, (costs about 100 times more than the boats)
if you're really in a rush.

OR, you can contact most of these places for private use of their boats, starting at around $600 for half a day.
