SihanoukVille's growing up
and the number of resorts is growing too. Starting with the Sokha resort on a kilometer and a half of beach opening 10 years ago, there are now several beach resorts and growing. Song Saa Private Island Resort, Cambodia's most exclusive island hotel, Independence Hotel just added a boardwalk over the ocean, and Sokha Beach Resort added a 2,000 person conference center and several (hundred) more rooms.
- The Sokha Hotel and Resort on Sokha Beach. A Resort with a kilometer and a half of beach, starting at $130 per night
- Song Saa Private Island Resort. A small private island just off Koh Rong Island with homes from $1,000 to $5,000 (including free breakfast?)
- Xihu International Hotel - Right on Independence Beach. About 25 floors, beautiful seaside swimming pool. 5 casinos on the ground floor, and really nice.
- Sunshine Bay Hotel - On Independence Beach. Rooftop swimming pool. Right in the casino area.
- Prince Times Hotel - Golden Lions Circle. Restaurants, ballroom, conference room, and the works. Walking distance to 20 casinos.
- All by itself on Independence Beach is the newly restored 7 story hotel, Independence Hotel, SihanoukVille's original hotel from the 1960's. With it's own private beach, and every rooms has a seaview. From $100 per night
